Chinese appliance manufacturer GE Appliance announced on Tuesday that it had ordered more than a thousand of its $200.6 million GE Electric Appliance appliances from the Chinese manufacturer in a deal valued at more than $300 million.
The company announced the deal in a press release, which listed GE Appliant as the manufacturer and supplier of the GE Electric appliance.
The announcement came two weeks after GE announced a $100 million contract with China’s Guangdong province to build the company’s electric power plants.
The GE Appliants are based on the GE Model X, the first of the two GE Electric appliances that GE expects to begin delivering to customers in the U.S. and in other countries by year-end.
